JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC is comprised of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found collagen and gives the skin its youthful, plump appearance. Although regular JUVÉDERM is made of hyaluronic acid, VOLUMA is formulated using a VYCROSS™ technology that gives it the ability to produce more lift. It can restore facial volume instead of just filling wrinkles around the nose and mouth.
The results are visible immediately after injection and the results can last up to two years! In just 15-30 minutes, you can have a more youthful appearance!

How is the JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC treatment performed?
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC is applied along the cheek bone area with a small needle. Topical numbing cream can be applied before the treatment and ice can also be used to minimize discomfort. The product also contains lidocaine, which decreased discomfort with each injection.
Is the JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC painful?
Only mild discomfort is experienced with JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC treatment. Patients report slight pinch and/or pressure from injections. The product contains lidocaine for comfort and a topical numbing cream can be applied in advance if needed.
Who performs the JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC treatment?
Our board-certified physicians and nurse practitioners perform the procedure. They have received extensive training in the art and science of injectable procedures.
How long does a JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC treatment take?
A treatment takes between 15-30 minutes in the office. The results are immediately visible.
Are there any side effects?
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC is approved by the FDA and is considered safe. Possible short term side effects are injection site tenderness, redness, bruising, pain, itching and small nodules under the skin.
Can I return to my usual activities after treatment?
Patients can return to work immediately after the treatment. We usually recommend no exercise for 24 hours after treatment. We also suggest you avoid anything that could potentially manipulate the product (such as facial massage) for two weeks.
